Many of the women who live here were homeless before they came to the YWCA and many have mental health and addiction issues. The YWCA also offers supportive counselling and referrals within the community with the goal of helping women to create stability for themselves. The centre is often at full capacity, so women seeking a room are encouraged to call after the 15th of every month to enquire about availability.
