Judith Veresuk is the Executive Director of the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID) and is responsible for overseeing BID operations, designing, implementing and managing programs to ensure Downtown Regina is a clean, safe and friendly destination for visitors, residents and businesses; as well as BID strategic planning and representation of Regina Downtown to the greater community.
Along with the RDBID staff, Judith works with all of Downtown’s stakeholders to make Downtown Regina the place where people want to be and a place that is full of growth and opportunity.
"I love downtowns. Having had the chance to study and explore many downtowns across North America, I can safely say that Downtown Regina is one of my favorites," Judith says. "In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve had the chance to meet some of the most passionate and energetic business owners in Downtown Regina which is a crucial ingredient to any successful downtown."
Judith was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario but is proud to now call Regina her home. She was previously employed with the Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee where she worked on signage and way finding plans for multiple Olympic venues. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director of the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association. While in this position, Judith worked with both private and public entities to raise the profile of Downtown Windsor.
Judith holds a degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching Detroit Red Wings hockey games and completing small home improvement projects.

Leasa Gibbons is the RDBID Manager of Marketing and Communication. She is responsible for the coordination and management of RDBID’s promotional efforts for Downtown businesses and events, which includes delivering timely information to online communities.
“Social media has become an important communication tool for many businesses and organizations. In the mix with more traditional marketing, venues like Facebook and Twitter allow us to form relationships with residents, businesses and potential visitors where we can not only promote Downtown Regina, but also get immediate feedback and suggestions on how to improve the Downtown experience,” Leasa says.
In previous organizational roles with the Saskatchewan Angel Investor Network, the University of Regina, and Crown Investment Corporation, Leasa not only developed marketing initiatives and planned events, she also worked closely with entrepreneurs and investors to build relationships for growing ideas to the commercialization stage.
“Downtown is more than just our vibrant city center—it’s a dynamic economic hub with reach far beyond our borders. I’m thrilled to be part of the team that is committed to ensuring the heart of Regina continues to grow and improve far into the future.”
Born and raised in Regina, Leasa is a graduate of the University of Regina where she majored in political science. She volunteers her time with local community boards and enjoys cross country skiing, time with her family, and furthering her training and education in the field of animal behaviour.
